REMINISCENCE
My heart has been wanting to get a breath of fresh air through writing. Life has moved a long way since I last sat in peace and wrote something. I remember the times when I couldn't pass a day without penning my thoughts on everything and anything that happened under the sun. Words just flowed back then. So effortlessly. All a reminiscence.
Today was a heavy day. My head hurts. I feel feverish. Temperature is quite cold. The very image of the flask beside my bed gives me comfort.
Today is kind of a final day at hostel before moving for internship back to home state. And also of third semester of post grad. Most of my batchmates have already left the hostel. Rooms are empty. Long corridors which are usually adorned with countless slippers scattered here and there lies void.
Still.
The only word that comes to the recess of my heart is 'GRATEFUL'.
For everything.
For the good and the bad. For the lessons learnt. For the happiness and sorrow. For the people who taught me life. For the conversations that was meant to be. For the beautiful sunsets that the evening walks gifted. For the food that I struggled with and the empty stomachs that ached during midnight. For witnessing the 'psychology of humans'. For all the tears that was shed. For all the laughter that echoed through the hills of Marudamalai.
Yes, I did survive the odds. Praise to Almighty.
As for now this is all that my fragile fingers can type and my weary mind can think of. But there is definitely more. Experiences of the life spent here can make a whole book.
Life is indeed a book. Where one chapter ends another begins.
Adieu Coimbatore.
