Fading Impressions

If only we could realize how apparently people erase the memories of our existence in our absence, we would change a great deal of our thoughts and actions. Thinking deeply about the people I've seen move out of my life, people who did hold a place within me, I sadly realized that my memories about them were becoming fainter and fainter. Their smiling faces and few personal moments are the only things that still stays alive. Time lures us to limit the thoughts of lost people to our prayers alone.

Yes, we forget. We evolve. We grow, much sooner than we think!

The more we accept this fact the more easier it is to embrace solitude and loneliness. A bit of solitude will only mould our hearts to witnessing beautiful changes within. And this never means that we should seek for solitude. As social beings, mingling with our fellow beings is innate. It is inevitable. But when solitude uninvitedly enters in your life, the outcome of accepting it will only bring a bit of light on the things that need a bit of daylight within your hearts.

Most of our thinking concerns everything else around us except for ourselves. We often contemplate on the lives of those around us ignoring what 'I' as a potential individual can do both for myself and for others. Being able to reflect on the age old fact that we are always measured on what we do rather than what we are, I felt a wave of satisfaction for at least bringing this thought to my mind, knowing that I've at least had this realization at this point of my life, after two decades of life.

It is often hard to make these golden rules practical. But, just trying to think and reflect about them matters. It might make a difference, someday!
