SIGNS OF THE CREATOR

“Allah has created every moving (living) creature from water. Of them there are some that creeps on their bellies, and some that walk on two legs, and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Verily, Allah is able to do all things”. (24:45)- Chapter of The Light

Water is integral for every growing organism. In one way or the other all creatures comes to life from water. The importance of water in the life of all living things including plants is simply understood. The verse strengthens the fact that water, something we don’t attach much value to, is the beginning material for life.

 And to mention the diversity of organisms that exist on earth in few words is quite hard. Creatures with different shapes and sizes, with different modes of walking and different mechanisms for feeding are all visible to us. They all live in their own space just as we do with their creator guiding them in every step and every move.

Don’t these creations point towards something superior? To those who think and ponder upon this exquisite existence of life, all the above mentioned are clear signs from The One who is in control of everything, from the tiny ants traversing on sand to the mighty lions following its prey! The signs are perfectly brought before our eyes so that we may believe in The One true power that is superior to all creations and have faith in Him alone.

The verse ends on the reminder that Allah is capable of creating anything that he wills. And all creations prove to be a source of insight for mankind to reflect upon this life. It shows us that we need to be humbler and submissive to that superior power.
