TOGETHERNESS

Even though pending works lay scattered,

sitting leisurely with a smile,

within the boundary of our space,

we owned the time, all to ourselves.

Opening our hearts,

words pouring with fierceness,

we shared what was buried deep within,

with no shame, with no regrets.

We had a story to share,

and a lot more to listen to,

revealing the secrets of our partners,

an urge to know what really crossed our minds.

Sitting with a happy heart,

sharing the best and worst versions,

of each one of us,

contentment brewed within our souls.

Wasn’t it fun and frolic?

And a bit awkward too,

hearing our own imperfections

But great sense striking our teen selves!

From knowing,

the joker of our class,

to the boy of the tribe,

and the voice of the class,

along with the bold lady among us,

we all carried a tag,

much amazed to be named so!

Sometimes,

a good laugh,

an open smile

and a listening ear,

makes all the difference!

Sitting together in our classroom one afternoon, we fell into speaking, the whole class as a team, as a second family, as in a second home. The whole talk began when our teacher introduced us to the 5-factor theory of personality in psychology. We shared the best and worst part of each one us. All were eager to speak up, complement the best talents and values each one of us exhibited and even criticize the worst versions of us so that we can bring a good change in ourselves. A moment I would love to cherish! For our moment of togetherness and unity!
